The Legacy of Service Foundation has awarded more than $500,000.00 in scholarships to minority high school seniors exhibiting outstanding scholastic excellence and leadership involvement.
Evelyn Foster Hamilton Endowment
Evelyn Foster Hamilton, a retired educator, dedicated her career to ensuring quality Music Education for students in Dallas ISD. Her dedication earned her a promotion from the classroom, making her the first Districtwide Music Coordinator, where she oversaw the curriculum and professional development of all the
music faculty.
Mrs. Hamilton's service to others is anchored in the empowerment of future generations of educators and musicians.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
-
Be a female minority graduating senior student, attending a public, private or charter high school in the Dallas County area
-
Poses a grade point average of a 3.0 or higher
-
Must attend a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) after graduating high school
-
Major in Fine Arts and/or Education, in college

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be a graduating minority senior from a Dallas metroplex public high school

Posses a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale

Demonstrate exemplary leadership qualities
