After Omicron Mu Omega was chartered in 1984, Cachet Youth Group was established in 1985.  The purpose of Cachet is to enrich and improve the lives of girls ages 13-18 within the African American community by building character and success for adulthood with an emphasis on education, mentorship, community service, family, scholarship, the arts, economic empowerment, economic empowerment, and health. In 2017, the mission changed to develop young ladies into social advocate leaders through real world experiences.
