Evelyn Foster Hamilton Endowment
Evelyn Foster Hamilton, a retired educator, dedicated her career to ensuring quality Music Education for students in Dallas ISD. Her dedication earned her a promotion from the classroom, making her the first Districtwide Music Coordinator, where she oversaw the curriculum and professional development of all the
music faculty.
Mrs. Hamilton's service to others is anchored in the empowerment of future generations of educators and musicians.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be a female minority graduating senior student, attending a public, private or charter high school in the Dallas County area
-
Poses a grade point average of a 3.0 or higher
-
Must attend a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) after graduating high school
-
Major in Fine Arts and/or Education, in college

Annual Scholarship Opportunities
The Legacy of Service Foundation awards scholarships to deserving students from Dallas area high schools.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
-
Be a graduating senior from a Dallas County high school or reside in Dallas County
-
Identify as a student from a historically underserved population
-
Possess a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
-
Demonstrate exemplary leadership qualities
