CACHET noun | /ka' SHa/
the state of being respected or admired; prestige.

Cachet Youth Group is the signature program of the Legacy of Service Foundation. The initiative began in 1985 as a youth program led by members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Omicron Mu Omega Chapter. It was later transitioned to the Foundation to ensure its longevity and continued impact.
Cachet’s purpose is to enrich and enhance the lives of girls ages 13–18 within the Dallas metropolitan area by providing mentorship that fosters character development and supports a successful transition into adulthood. At its core, Cachet is a space where young ladies are encouraged, supported, and inspired to grow into their fullest potential. Core program priorities include education, mentorship, community service, family, scholarship, the arts, economic empowerment, and health.
In 2017, the mission expanded to include developing young women into social advocacy leaders through real-world experiences. Since its inception with just five members, Cachet Youth Group has steadily grown, welcoming generations of young ladies into a sisterhood rooted in growth, leadership, and service.
Cachet actively engages in community service projects throughout the DFW metroplex, promotes personal development, and offers multifaceted workshops designed to support each young lady’s journey from adolescence to adulthood.
Through its programming, Cachet continues to cultivate confident, capable, and community-minded young women prepared to lead, serve, and make a lasting impact.
